Mecaela Moreira is an AI Ethics Coordinator at Alquire, Inc., where she helps translate the principles of responsible and trustworthy AI into practical, everyday guardrails — the kind of training, review, and program structure that lets teams move quickly without losing sight of the people their work affects.
Her path to AI ethics is unusually well-rounded. Over more than a decade supporting executives and running operations, she has managed programs end to end, built training that meets people where they are, and carried responsibility for real budgets, real properties, and real teams. Earlier chapters as a Realtor, an inside sales representative, and the owner of her own landscaping company gave her a practical, client-first instinct that still shapes how she works.
She holds two MBAs — in Management & Operations and in Human Resources Development — alongside a background in Sociology, a combination that keeps both the systems and the humans firmly in view.
